There has been one case that I know of where somebody registered and never received his password. The email account he used to register did not include the capital letter in his email address. When you register, please ensure that you enter your email address EXACTLY as it is, and be case specific.
However, in this case, he's using AOL and his email was probably twatted by the AOL spam blocker.

From the support forum: I don't get notification/registration e-mails! Most people experience this problem with Hotmail. Check your junkmail bin. Sometimes they are redirected through the filter. OR If you are an admin of your board make sure that your current listed e-mail is correct. Update The newest versions of AOL have the "advanced SPAM blockers" and may make it impossible for Proboards to contact you. Admins may have to manually register members who expierience this problem. Or we recommend that these people create temporary free e-mails (ie. hotmail.com). Quote:I was messing around and found something that should be helpful. AOL 9.0 has a Spam Folder in addition to the regular one, but anything lower than 9.0 doesn't. I thought that it simply meant anyone with an older version of AOL couldn't access their Spam folder...but you can. If you go to AOL Keyword Spam you can set your preferences for the Spam folder and if you go to AOL keyword Spam Folder it'll bring you to the Spam folder. Fucking AOL shite!!!!

Knowing there are problems registering with aol and hotmail accounts, I have just managed to successfully register for this forum with my yahoo account.
Unlike hotmail accounts, yahoo accounts seem to last forever if not used ... well, mine has.
So fuck hotmail, fuck aol ... go yahoo.
