Not sure where to stick this so it'll go here for now. Still no contact with Kalle (disrupter) about our trade, my part of the deal (a cdr) was despatched 2 months ago but no communication either by email or post since then. If you're reading this Kalle can you please let me know what the problem is (if there is one?). At this point in time any excuse would be better than no contact at all. Whether you didn't get my cdr/havent got round to sending it yet/haven't got any cash/your tapes lost/your recording equipments not working/you lost my address/you've sent it so it must be lost in the post/the cdr I sent was broke/the cdr I sent was crap/the cdr I sent didn't work/you cant be bothered/your girlfriends left you/your bands split up/you've been abducted by aliens/your dead/your dog died/your dog ate it/freddie starr ate it/your in hiding cos the polish sas are after you/you were running around with scissors and had an accident/you think the Gods will smite you if you set foot outside the house. See as things stand I have no idea whats wrong and I don't believe that someone whose been involved in the punk scene for as long as you have would screw up their reputation by ripping someone off especially over a cdr trade costing less than a quid! So please get in touch and let me know what the score is.

There are a couple of excuses in your list that I've been reading before.
Though, I don't think Kalle has been abducted by aliens or somethinglike this, it's just he's getting once in a while on the net. We traded a CDR a couple of weeks ago. He might be slow (as I am can be, too, and I apologize for this at the same time) but he will get back to you I am sure.

Thanks for the replies guys, it's good to know that you have traded recently with Kalle and also that he's not on the net too often maybe i just need to be a bit more patient. I have on plenty of occasions been slow to complete trades but usually if someone else is sending first I wait till my half of the trade is recorded or printed and wrapped up before I give the ok for them to send theirs out, seem a lot less hassle that way. I did have at the back of my mind the problems Panos had trading on the old forum but I couldn't see the point of agreeing to trade, getting someone else to send first then welshing on the deal, I mean I know it's easy to be anonymous on the www and it's pretty unlikely someone's gonna turn up at your door when you live several thousand miles away in a different country over a cdr trade but i'm not the sort of person that will just shrug my shoulders and put it down to experience and besides on a public forum it's easy to get your own back by letting all the other forum members know wtf is going on. Anyway i'm gonna forget about it for now and wait for a bit longer, I still have a bit of faith in punk rock trading.... Oh and btw Raf, Freddie Star is a UK comedian from the 80's who famously appeared in a newspaper with the headline 'Freddie Starr are my hamster' so that followed on from the old excuse 'my dog ate it' which is an old excuse we you would use for not doing your homework at school, I remember one of the guys at my secondary school actually used this once tho' to be fair to him he did turn up to school that day with dog bite marks all over his jotter ;D upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/b/b5/Freddiehamster.jpg/180px-Freddiehamster.jpg |

just saw this one...well,you have to wait and press him a lot i think...i got my stuff after 1 year pressing him to send them out,i was complaining to the other members of his band as well (i know not good but i had to do that...)
the reasons...he's quite lazy i quess (and may be drunk...) and don't have internet connection at home...one thing is for sure,he will NOT rip you off,but...you have to wait...

Hi Panos, Yes the tape arrived today, i've waited a good few years to hear the demo so a few extra weeks didn't hurt too much. Anyway thanks a lot to Kalle for the trade, I hope you liked the CD  |
