Okay, I know I've said this sorta thing before and been a 'no show', but I'm tempted to go to this. What do you guys do about accommodation? I have never slept on the street before and do not propose starting now. Camping? B&B? Posh hotel? Car?

You should go you will love it! CH3 are playing what more reason do you need!!!!
You will need a bed and breakfast which will cost you around the £20 a night mark. I reccomend trying to get one in a street called West End Road as that is very close to where all the action is. Lower numbers in that street say no 50 or less should do you fine but you will have to get one reserved right now, slap on a deposit ASAP! If you leave it to late you will really struggle to find one believe me and of course you don't wanna be walking for miles. My B&B is called the Wycollier Hotel. You should be able to get sorted out on the Morecambe tourist board website no problem. Hope this helps ya a little.

You might like to spell it correctly next time, Jim ... it's Wycollar  All booked up, as is the whole of that street. The manager told me that they book up years in advance. Still looking though, and I'll give the tourist board a go too. |

i'd been to morecambe once,99',we reach there the last minute and we found a b&b place to stay.The thing is that if you don't look very wild (mohican,studs e.t.c) they'll let you in,they don't book the rooms untill they see how you look,at least that's what happenned to us,we were 4 persons,2 greeks and 2 irish,short hair,more hc on the look than punks,and we didn't have a problem even the very last minute,we get there at 3 o'clock mid-day and the gig started at 5-6 o'clock.

we had to stay in the woods... *cold*
buy a tent at the supermarket and camp behind the dome if no place to stay.

Ok fellow scum, just a few more days to go till WASTED. I will be going down on Thursday morning so if anybody on the site wants to hook up down there for a beer or five then now is the chance to sort it out. Carl, I'm really looking forward to meeting you there this time. I have a red liberty spiked mohawk (so will another 500 people I hear you say) but with a Toxic Reasons logo + studs on the back of my leather. Might help a bit..... See you in the pit or at the bar.......but most probably at the record stalls  The last day or two you might find me in a wheel chair beeing pushed around as I'm getting a little old for all this ;D ;D ;D . I just hope I don't break anymore ribs this time when I see the Avengers play. Crowd surfing at my time of life, your never too old to learn something new. Hey all, I'll see some of you tomorrow, I'm leaving in 3 hours. Hope I don't have any trouble at my hotel (I'm at the Redwell Inn in Lancaster) as I just gave myself a red mohawk recently.
If any of you see me say hi - I've got a bright red studded jean jacket with a big External Menace patch on the back.

Got back from the gig yesterday, it was AWESOME!!!! Great meeting you Carl and seeing you again Alex.
CH3 were the best band for me at the weekend. They blasted right off from the start with "I've Got A Gun" and kept going with a shitload of old stuff from the 1st 2 lps. I heard they played in London also at the weekend with the Avengers so I can only imagine how good that gig must have been.

Wasted this year was a blast! Yes Jim, it was great to seeing you again and I'm sorry I didn't meet you Carl, it would be for the next time! One of the best bands I saw this year was Filthy Lockers. They didn't played at Wasted but they played the day before the festival started (on wednesday) in a pub called Fred's Bar (or something else, I can't remember...), anyway, that band was awesome!!! Any of you has some info on them? Other bands I liked very much were the Briefs, Antidote, Threats, Drongos For Europe, Rezillos and the Hard Skin (I haven't understand what they told about Exploited and Scottish people at all, but they were right when they told that Jimmy Pursey is a fucking star!). Unfortunately I've missed OWS and the Varukers.
