I use a program called DC-Art32. It came free with a CD writer I bought years ago, and still does the trick for me. There are many other recording software programs on the market, but I cannot comment on them as I've not used them.
A cable between my stereo and PC records a wav file to my disk, then I use Nero to create a CD-R.

Thanx Man. Do you have to stop the recording beetwen the tracks of an LP or an EP in order to separate the song in order to avoid to get only one track of 20 mn on your CD ? I'm completely illeterate about the use of these device...

No. You can record an entire side, then choose an option to slice it up into individual tracks. This option works most of the time, and where it doesn't, you can do it manually. It can get pretty complicated if you want to remove all the hiss and crackles, and if you over-do the filters, it sounds like the band is playing under water. I can email you the exe if you want - it's just over 3MB. It's an OLD version of their current release, but it's free and does the trick for me. It has a help page, and does take a bit of getting used to. This is the website of the software company: www.diamondcut.com/

On its way now.
I'm not sure that the Spanish press of the Blitz LP is rarer that the Japanese or German pressings ... it's just that I don't have a copy.
I know where I can get one ... for GBP55 and I'm not paying for that. It's licenced from Future records, rather than No Future anyway.
Cheers

download WavePad for free (if it still is), great program which you can record streaming audio (like MySpace songs when the band put the song 'off download'. it will automatically stop when last song recorded, so just set it to record and then go for a crap or so.)
it is also very simple to set the prefered 100% volume to the recorded file by clicking on a button. then just chop the file up in the diagram and save each song as a single file
(other options available as well, but this Q was about ripping vinyl, right?)
