(I posted this elsewhere on here also)
Anyone know anything about The Frantix? Not the "My Dad's a Fuckin' Alcoholic" American band, but the mid-80's UK one, from Petersborough I think. I've got a 2-song 7" by them, decent UK82-style with a Rock'n'Roll touch that reminds me of Erazerhead or the Genocides, not sure if they did anything else or not. (The single is from 1986.) Perhaps they had members from other Petersborough bands like the Blanks/Destructors family?

I'd be happy to share it, I don't really have a capacity to convert a record to a digital file but I can certainly put it to tape and send it along. I'll check the single tonight for more info - song titles, etc. I found it in a small store here and it's not in great shape, the vinyl's noisy and the b&w picture sleeve is almost completely split at the seams.

The frantix split around 87 after recording their second 7'' that was never released. Andy Frantic went on to form metalica -esque Wardance with Gizz Butt of the destructors and english dogs and the great Spike Jones.
With Junior Macdonald replacing Gizz on guitar, the sound become less metal solo led and drew bad brains as a major influence. They toured Europe extensively and were a formidible force live. They released an album on a Belgian label with the dubious title 'were all 'n*****s' but were not your boys'. Unfortunately the album suffered from weak production that never reflected how great they were as a live unit.
Andy eventually toured with Uk subs before retiring to denmark where he now resides
