Anyone else than me going?
We got tickets for the event, but don't know if it will get to difficulties travelling the world after the swine flu hysteria...
Have to see The Alternative live, (don't really know the rest of the set, but think Refuse/All will play there? Always had an extra ear for them. ), and the other bands as well of course.

DAMN IT! Rumours say Alternative won't play, and they changed the place for the event just when we found a place to stay pretty close Well. Hopefully I get to see Refuse/All which is now first choice. And trying to get a healthy fried mars-bar breakfast, hehehe.

Excellent band, as excellent as anything Welshy has been into, by the way... enjoyed the stay in glasgow and met some celebs as well. did not get any swine flu and got the largest fish and chips ever at the way home from the gig. Refuse/All was great, UK Subs did not turn up (but as i've heard afterwards they were not supposed to play at all this date?), and there were rumours that Subhumans cancelled but when me eagle eyed an Amebix LP Dick Lucas fame of the band turned up with loads of records and t-shirts next to me and promised me they WILL PLAY. Never heard 'Happy Spastics' before and it turned out to be a surprise cause their earliest songs of this gig just made me breathless. Me and my travel-mate had in mind we might sell some 2komp records to anyone we spoke to, but early changed our mind and gave the whole lot away to and let them sell them for us. Think they sold at least 15 copies and again all that sold was the ugly coloured ones. Conflict made a great gig and top of it Subhumans made the highlight of the event. There were also some guy playing bagpipe a few times which where enjoyful for us Swedes (got to have some culture as well, right?) The great loss of this event was The Alternative cancelled, but as the choice for them was to play with half the band and the rest of members from other bands, it would probably just turned out to be silly. And celeb-hookers as we are we managed to chat with A.U.K. and Alternative fames amongst others it was a really enjoyful weekend. Can't wait until next trip to Scotland. And Jim - enjoyed to see you as well (if you still visit this place) Cheers/Henk

Hi Henk Happy to hear you enjoyed your trip to Scotland and the gig. I was very drunk by the time I got there and just kinda walked in without paying (so I'm told)!!! To be honest can't remember meeting you or seeing the bands... I should have just stayed at home me thinks lol If you do make it back to Scoltland you can crash here at my new flat. You'd be more than welcome matey Of course you would be searched on your way out.... ;D Jim

no worris mate, you were polit and all, but i don't think you recognized me, and i was pretty filled up as well. you seemed to be enjoyed that evening so i can tell you did have fun. i was just a bit surprised i found someone "i know" amongst the crowd of people in the entrance when being about really far away from home. it was nice and you cheered me and that was it. then we tried to help some guy that probably did not know how to drink cause he spent half of the evening on the toilet and we thought the best idea was to let the guards sent him off. h was about the drunkest person i've seen that was still awake, hehe. he looked like he had drunk at least a few litres plain booze.
