logging in

I can't log in.....well I can and it says i'm logged in at the bottom but when I try to post I'm sent to a page with a 'guests can't post on this forum' error, then I go back to the home page where my username is still logged in at the bottom but it's calling me a guest at the top and I can't log out, WTF ........it's been like this for about a week since I reformatted my HD, everything else is working perfectly now unlike before....except for RBAFv2 which was working fine before but f*cked up now
and I just tried to post this and got told off for using the same name as someone who's already a member of the board

check if you have a 'red' eye down/right of your screen. it might be some cookieproblem?

(if you use windows I.E)

double click it and tell the damn software this place is ok. i think i had a similar problem with eBay last year

What I had to do was make a whole new email address then type an easy password thats all lowercase cos when u sign up and it asks for an email address and password make sure it's EXACTLY the same or else it won't work cos I tried like 50 times haha

Thanks for the suggestions......I went to login page and ticked the 'always stay logged in' box and it seem to have solved the problem for now but i'm still not sure what caused the problem??

It was hell of a procedure to get in. First of all it seems like I put in the wrong password, and when i wanted a new activation code , my damn email didnt work!

I cant log in again......tried to get my password sent out again but never got sent the email.....maybe i'll have to register again. Anyway just wanted to say Henk's site is looking good and I think I might have some info on Animal Farm from an old issue of Punk Lives to help fill out their section......i'll scan it if and email it when I find the time....

best way to login in my opinion is by chosing 'stay online for 6 hours' for some reason, if not I still see the "welcome guest, please login" or wtf it says up in the right corner...

if problems, try the 6 hour option and it might work better... and then hit the logout when leaving

Hey limitedwar - sorry mate, can't remember your real name. After all that messing around we tried a few weeks ago, I changed your registered email account to be mine. That should not cause you a problem, and I can certainly log on to your account with the password that I set for you at the time.

Try the password "limitedwar" - don't use the quotes. If you get in, please change the password and email account. The new email account may require reactivation of your account which may cause more hassles. If you are still getting problems, send me an email, and we'll have another go at sorting it out. Incidently, when I log in, I use "forever" rather than 6 hours.

Thanks Lyndon, I tried the log-in forever option and it worked....so i've changed my password before anyone else logs in and changes it...as if I haven't had enough problems logging in . I've left the email address the same tho' as I don't want to try and get a new activation code sent out as i'll probably not receive it then won't be able to log in again, it works for now so i'm not gonna mess around with it too much....cheers.

I'm glad to know you're back with us. Bear in mind though, that if somebody tries to email you ... I'll be the one who gets it so no slagging off the administrator via email ;D
